Now my attention turns to the waterfall. I put the boards in place to mark levels. I can fill in with soil to make the shape I require later. The small brick walls are where the water will flow. I want there to be stones and gravel in the waterfall pools with plants growing along the margins. This is difficult to design as I will need to cover the liner, but don't want to use rocks as it would be difficult to naturalise. Some garden ponds are spoilt because a heap of rocks look like they have been placed there, and are totally out of keeping with the rest of the garden.
